Fruit of the Spirit – Overview

The Fruit of The Spirit – Overview

This 6-part series has many eye-opening revelations from the Holy Spirit about the fruit, and what it really is and the importance of it in your life.

1. Fruit Inspectors

What is a fruit inspector? We are not permitted to go around judging people, but we are told to inspect fruit. This study talks about that means. After that it transitions into how we’re not supposed to impersonate Christ but actually be like Him, and that’s what the fruit is about. Then the study takes a turn to ministers, how we’re supposed to inspect their fruit. When ministers produce bad fruit, Jesus called them “ravenous wolves” twice to get His point across. This study takes a moment to talk about what that means, and how people shouldn’t align themselves with these ministers. The dangers in our modern-day world are not so much in the church anymore, but more so online with everyone having free access to ministry without Bible training or submitting to any type of ministry. Our world has become, turn a camera on and go! For that reason, we are supposed to be grouping ourselves by fruit and not Biblical revelations, as it’s popular to do. The study winds down by examples on how to fruit inspect.

2. Love Ground

Love is both the ground and the first fruit, we’ll see Jesus make that point clear. This study focuses on how the fruit being God’s Breath (nephesh is breath in Hebrew, but it means more like the breath of life. This isn’t in the study, but God is love and the fruit is mature love. That’s how and why Fruit is His Breath, goes back to Hebrew), real traits of The Father, is about us maturing in His Love; and not some illustration of apples on a tree or some great pictorialization of a mixed fruit basket. The depiction of fruit is used so that we can have the understanding of cultivating and constantly tending to it; and it will literally produce something in our life. The study closes out with Biblical love.

3. Joy

This is my favorite fruit and I hope it will be yours too! It’s a very powerful weapon, not just some emotion we’re told to invoke. The study starts off by defining joy, real Hebrew joy. So much is lost in our English translations of the Bible. Everyone is encouraged to party like David! The goal with this series is brought to light through a testimony of one Christian’s fruit affecting a suicidal Christian, to learn how to manifest the presence of God to affect those around us. We learn from the Old Testament what the joy really is in time of distress and how to activate it. Then some interesting and unforgettable information about laughter from the Andy Anderson Hospital, a famous Cancer Hospital in Houston, Texas. Finally, the study concludes with something Paul told King Agrippa that can certainly help us all throughout our lives. And… don’t forget to check out the link to song from a David movie that’s in theme with ancient joy.

4. Peace

What peace actually means as defined by the Bible and then also as defined by the World. A quick interesting look at worldly peace and how it actually relates back to people trying to find God. Most people, both Christians and non-Christians alike seek peace in their mind. It’s achievable through diligence and using the Word. The study shows you how to get peace in your mind. Most people want to just pray for it. While God answers that prayer every time, it’s generally not held down in a person’s life and the exact reason is given why. Clear answers are given for everyone to relate to and understand. Then a commonly misquoted scripture is studied in detail; peace that SURPASSES all understanding. The difference between passes and surpasses is explained. After that we see in scripture how peace is connected to the tongue, what you say is important. The study turns to how to implement peace in your life and then some real-life scenarios that are extreme to focus on how to keep God’s peace with you and working for you.

5. Longsuffering and Kindness

In an effort to keep this study short and interesting, fruit is doubled up! Starting off with longsuffering, we learn that we are NOT EVER supposed to pray for longsuffering. Many people have tried to pray for it, and they have all failed. There is a very good reason why you cannot pray for patience, it’s in scripture and this study will bring it to light. Then the study transitions into putting the Word of God into action takes fortitude and persistence, while introducing what kindness really means, acts of kindness. People often get acts of kindness as fruit and walking in love confused. The study explains the difference that this is a heart attitude and attribute of God’s Character, not just an act that makes you think you’re loving someone.

6. Easy Production

Not all of the fruit needs a big explanation. So, we jump right into goodness, and define it in Hebrew, under the direction of The Holy Spirit. The understanding of the meaning is much different than what we see in The Greek. Much is lost in the translation. Gentleness is quickly defined and discussed, before skipping over to self-control. An interesting point is brought out that self-control isn’t mentioned in the Old Testament! Something we have never thought about. That is because we need the fruit and the Holy Spirit to help us have any type of self-control in our lives. After a quick recap of all the fruit, the study ends with how to easily produce fruit in your life.

Thank you for going through the quick overview of a very long study with me. I pray over all these studies that the revelations come alive to you as they have to me. My hope is that everyone in your ministry is blessed and comes up to a higher place in Christ as God is doing in my ministry.
